I've seen that look before

In a world where the Myconid species are used endlessly as test subjects, a Anterelle mushroom is deemed as a successful experiment and is planned on being used to create a drug that will make huge profits. Another mushroom, a fly agaric, escaped their enclosure and runs to make a quick get away, on their way they encounter a successful test subject. The dead look in their eyes...they have seen it before in themselves. They wonder how far they were from being the successful test subject...and if anyone would save them from their fate.

Without a second thought the fly agaric mushroom takes action to save the Anterelle.
